The VIP/Behind the Scenes OPEN HOUSE that took place at the Arizona Art Alliance on Saturday, October 11, 2014, was a huge success! More than a 100 artists, friends, and family members attended the event at the Arizona Art Alliance newly renovated headquarters near Tempe Diablo Stadium.OH 2

This art-filled night included a Ribbon Cutting ceremony by the Tempe Chamber of Commerce and provided an introduction to the 2014-2015 Board of Directors as well as announcements of this year’s Exhibitions and Shows. The Attendees were able to experience great art shared by the Alliances’ many artists and not to forget, this was a great opportunity for the Arizona Community to celebrate the National Arts and Humanities Month!

Here is what some of our volunteers had to say about the Open House:

This was the first time for our new HR Manager, Vandana Balanath, to attend an Open House, and she certainlyOH 5 enjoyed it!
Vandana said, “Thanks to the Arizona Art Alliance for giving me the opportunity to experience it. I feel that the Alliance is a talented artistic community of friends and a nurturing environment where people make and show art, curate exhibitions, and teach and participate in classes. It was all about making connections, sharing ideas, and furthering the pursuit of one’s art and the artist lifestyle. The Alliance is constantly evolving and constant in its commitment to Arizona artists. I wish them all the best in future endeavors.”

Xianlin Jin, our Social Media Manager, mentioned that the number of attendees exceeded
her expectations. OH 7“Some people came an hour early to the event! The Organization’s artists got a chance to communicate with each other, and the Tempe Chamber’s staff was very supportive as well,” said Xianlin. “Bonnie Adams, wife of the famous artist Kenneth M Freeman, was also able to join us and wanted to closely work with the Alliance.”

Ellen Beckett, Manager of Business Development, summed it all up, “This Open House brought together artists and supporters from all over the valley and that to me is what Arizona Art Alliance is all about.”
